Meet Our Founder

Brad Jenkins

Founder & Lead Technician

In the late ’90s and early 2000s, I was taking classes at the local community college without much direction or motivation. Back then, we were told we had to go to college—but no one really emphasized learning a trade or skill. The focus was get a degree, regardless of the focus.

One semester, almost on a whim, I signed up for a basic electricity course through the HVAC program. That one class changed everything.

Soon after, I earned a certificate in HVAC/R and started working in the air conditioning field. The work was fun, it paid well, and for the first time, I felt to be on a real career path and had my sights set on refrigeration.

Remembering something an instructor once said that stuck with me: “There’s very little duct work and attic time in refrigeration.”

That definitely caught my attention. Then he added, “But refrigeration is its own monster.” Challenge accepted.

Several years into air conditioning, an opportunity presented itself with a refrigeration company, and my trade education began. There is no better love than a good mystery in solving problems, the technical complexity of the work, and the satisfaction of mastering a challenging craft. I definitely don’t miss crawling around in attics all day.

Refrigeration might be “its own monster,” but it’s one I’ve come to really enjoy wrestling with—and I’m glad I found my path.

There are countless causes for your cooler or freezer not cooling but the most common reason is either a frozen evaporator coil or a dirty condenser coil. If an excessive amount of heat is coming from your condenser coil it is probably dirty. If the coil on the inside of your cooler or freezer is frozen over then you will need to defrost your unit and diagnose the cause of the freeze up.

The most common cause of Ice Machine failure is a cleaning issue. Here in Central Texas our water is very hard and it wreaks havoc on Ice machines.

The most common cause of an Air Condition failure is improper air flow. Whether it be a dirty air filter or dirty coil your Air Conditioner needs to be able to “Breathe.”

Often your Cooking Equipment does not work because carbon builds up on the heating components.
